Resident Evil Requiem story expansion and DLC confirmed

Nearly two weeks after its official release and with its love letter approach to the series, Resident Evil Requiem director Koshi Nakanishi took to social media to confirm that a story expansion and DLC for the game are on the way.

In the video, Nakanishi thanked the fans for making Requiem sell over five million copies worldwide since its official release last February 27. 

He also promised that the team would address numerous bugs and performance issues while also confirming that development is currently ongoing for DLC content for the game. He teased that photo mode and a special “mini-game” would be coming to the game as well.

Nakanishi then stated that it will “delve deeper into the story of Requiem”, and that the new content is currently in development and may take some time to finish.

“We’re hard at work on it right now. It will take some time, so we ask for your patience,” he said.

While certainly not a perfect masterpiece, Resident Evil Requiem combines the best elements seen throughout the history of Capcom’s long running survival horror franchise. It’s a worthy entry to the franchise as it celebrates its 30th anniversary later this month.
