HOK Festival of Lanterns shines in Eastwood, Oheb announcement, and more

Honor of Kings’ (HOK) Festival of Lanterns illuminated Eastwood Central Plaza on March 20, 2026, with its offline event full of interactive activities lined up for HOK fans.

Isabella Louise Eloriaga, Senior Marketing Manager for HOK Philippines, explained that the Festival of Lantern PH highlights the Tagalog word, ‘Liwanag’ to bring togetherness amongst HOK fans.

“In the Philippines, we are highlighting in Tagalog, ‘Liwanag.’ Basically, liwanag signifies hope, warmth and togetherness. This is the culminating event to gather everyone, the community, to celebrate and have fun with HOK,” Eloriaga said.

Festival of Lanterns is a Southeast Asia-wide month-long event, involving Malaysia and Indonesia, which started on February 26, 2026.

Upon registration in the event, HOK players were given stamp cards to complete as they participated in different activities around the plaza. 

Players participated in taking a picture in a photobooth, decorating a lantern, fishing for lanterns, and joining in the HOK benefits booth.

In line with this, Eloriaga explained that HOK held the event to be accessible and tangible for HOK players.

“We want everyone to feel that HOK is very tangible to players through easier reach and accessible communication. We really want players to feel that it is possible,” Eloriaga added.

Oheb partners with HOK

Fans and media partners also witnessed star gold laner Kiel “Oheb” Soriano’s official partnership with HOK during the Festival of Lanterns.

During the event, HOK announced that Oheb will have in-game exclusive voice packs, sticker packs, and map aesthetics photos inside the game.

Upcoming Arnis-inspired skin for ARKE

Eloriaga added that aside from Kiel “Oheb” Q. Soriano’s exclusive participation and in-game benefits inside Honor of Kings, HOK will be releasing an arnis-inspired skin for ARKE this coming March 31.

“We will be launching the arnis-inspired skin for ARKE, so it’s going to be called Ascension Arnisadora. It basically represents our national sport, Arnis. We wanted our players to see that HOK is very involved in the local community in the Philippines,” Eloriaga said. (By Regine Andres, INQUIRER.net Intern)
