Fujifilm includes self-timer in new instax mini 13

MANILA, Philippines – Fujifilm unveils their new instax mini 13 in a pop-up event at the SM Mall of Asia, April 22.

The instax mini 13 is the newest product in their instax line that features an addition of a two-second and 10-second timer, while maintaining its selfie mirror and close-up mechanic.

Fujifilm’s new analog camera comes in five colors, following a pastel palette: dreamy purple, candy pink, frost blue, lagoon green, and clay white.

Comparing to the Mini 12

Besides the new two-second and 10-second timer, the instax mini 13 carries most of the mini 12 features.

The 13 is also slightly heavier than the 12, 327 grams in weight compared to the 306 grams in the Mini 12. The close-up feature is also within the same range of 30cm to 50cm.

The camera is priced at P5,399, while the mini 12 costs P4,899.

A mini 13 kit will also be available in a bundle that includes unique accessories and will cost P6,399.

PBB winners introduced as brand ambassadors

In line with the Mini 13’s theme of targeting the younger generation and the young at heart, recent PBB winners were brought in as brand ambassadors.

Dubbed as the “Instax Squad,” Caprice Cayetano and Heath Jornales were introduced during the pop-up event.

A big year for instax

In an exclusive interview with Inquirer.net, Glenn Gatan, Marketing Head for Imaging Solutions of Fujifilm Philippines, teased what’s in store for 2026.

“Of course, I can’t say anything specific, but 2026 is going to be an exciting year for instax,” he said. “We play on the digital and analog a lot, so we have hybrid cameras, smartphone printers. So there’s a lot in store this year.” he said.

In an advancing digital world, people still crave for an analog experience. As Gatan puts it, “it’s the authenticity of prints in a world of social media. The idea of capturing a photo, it comes out in a print you can hold, like it brings something you can cherish, and it’s one of a kind.”
