And now, your favorite social media platform has made it even easier for everyone to stay connected. On March 23, 2015, Facebook launched Internet.org app in the Philippines, marking the app’s debut in Southeast Asia through wireless service provider Smart Communications, Inc. under the Talk ‘N Text (TNT) brand. The Internet.org app enables TNT subscribers to enjoy free access to an initial listing of 24 popular websites on their mobile phones. The websites, which also include Facebook and Messenger, feature very informative and practical content that TNT subscribers will definitely find useful in everyday life. The launch of the app was made even more official when Facebook’s Chief Operating Officer Mark Zuckerberg posted on his personal page on the social site: “We’re one step closer to connecting the world as we launched Internet.org in the Philippines today. Now everyone in the country can have free access to internet services for health, education, jobs and communication on the Smart network.”
