Facebook warns photos to be deleted from auto-synced albums
Facebook warns users that auto-synced photos will be deleted from their data base if not transferred to their Moments app.
This is a side-effect of having removed the auto-sync function from the main Facebook app. Moments will take over the role of automatically syncing and categorizing images.

Moments was launched in 2015 and functions in the same way as the auto-sync feature with a few add-ons. It is able to scan faces and match them with a user’s Facebook friend. It can also group photos by events.
Facebook hopes that by separating the sync-function from the core app, it will be able to better address the needs of other users who want a more private way of sharing photos with friends. Alfred Bayle
