One of gaming’s most popular titles is getting its latest iteration delayed yet again by almost two months from the previous announcement. The game is now scheduled for a Nov. 29 release.

In a public announcement made on the Final Fantasy XV YouTube channel, video game director Hajime Tabata lists the reasons for the delay and the compensation that he plans to include in a day-one patch. On top of the patch, even more content is being made to make the final game closer to the “ultimate version” that its creators have envisioned.

“Our objective with FFXV was to deliver a Final Fantasy of the highest possible quality, to every single person who buys the game,” Tabata said.“We have completed the master version but when it comes to the highest possible quality, we felt that we had not quite reached this standard yet.”

The day-one patch will not require an internet connection to download as Square Enix will be providing a disc that contains all the additional content the creators wanted to add to the master version. Future DLCs and patches will require downloading from the internet.

In the meantime, a 30-minute gameplay demo is scheduled to be released on Aug. 16 to highlight the content and gameplay of the master version that gamers can look forward to on Nov. 29. The demo will be the English version of the game. Another video will be released at a later date to showcase the Japanese version and other languages.
