A group of friends is in the running for Best in Halloween costume this year after they dressed up as characters of the hit South Korean zombie film “Train to Busan.”
Elise Mendoza took to social media to share photos of their now viral Halloween gimmick.
Article continues after this advertisementWith the hashtag #TrainToTutuban, the photos showed the group posing in character at the Light Rail Transit (LRT) Line 2 station in Anonas.

“We’re a bunch of weird kids who found each other in college and still enjoy being weird together. Yea I guess that sounds like squad goals,” Mendoza wrote on Twitter.
Article continues after this advertisement“Today’s costume is basically something that would have scared my parents for a totally diff reason a few years ago,” added Mendoza, who dressed up as the pregnant woman from the movie.
Mendoza’s post has garnered more than 15,000 retweets and 26,000 likes on Twitter and 3,000 shares and 21,000 reactions on Facebook.
The zombie thriller was a box office hit in the Philippines and holds the record as one of the best-selling Korean films to date.
It bagged the grand prize at Montreal’s Fantasia International Film Festival in July and won directing and special effects awards at the Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival in Spain. YG/IDL
