LOOK: Super Mario Bros. 3 map crocheted by one man for six years
Crocheting is not something most men would take up as a hobby. But one man took this up and sat down to create a massive rendition of the Super Mario Bros. 3 map.
Norwegian computer programmer and skydiving champion Kjetil Nordin accumulated over 800 hours (roughly six years) to research and crochet the world 1 map from Super Mario Bros. 3, reports Kotaku.
Article continues after this advertisementNordin did research on the exact yarn colors to faithfully reproduce the map of the game. His attention to detail was to such a high degree that he scrapped a section and redid it because the color was too purple, as reported by NRK.
Several photos of the finished product was uploaded by a friend who goes by the Reddit handle “AlexKingshill”.
The next step for Nordin now would be to find a way to display his yarn creation on a wall, and pray that it doesn’t get ruined. Alfred Bayle/JB
