11-year-old boy killed for ‘hacking’ friend’s Facebook

MANILA, Philippines–Because he allegedly “hacked” the Facebook account of a teenage friend, an 11-year-old boy died after being stabbed at least 46 times in Malolos, Bulacan.

The bloodied body of grade five student Michael Jericho Surio‎ was found by his mother in an unfinished house on Sunday night.

A radio report said the alleged killer of Surio, a resident of Barangay (village) Barihan, was his 16-year-old friend.

‎It added that the suspect, who was not identified as he was a minor, got infuriated after Surio allegedly hacked his Facebook account.

The suspect was said to have been put under the custody of the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
