LOOK: Cotabato, Kidapawan gov’t sites hacked

The websites of the Cobatato Provincial government (cotabatoprov.gov.ph) and Kidapawan City (kidapawancity.gov.ph) were down on Saturday morning, a day after the bloody dispersal clash between police authorities and protesting farmers in the city.

On its Facebook Page, Anonymous Philippines claimed taking down the said websites with a “distributed denial of service” or DDOS attack.
A DDOS attack makes a computer or network unavailable to its users by hackers in control of several devices. This is done by flooding a server with more network traffic than it can handle. CDG
