The popular anime series that started out as an original short film has received the green light for a game adaptation on the PlayStation 4 console platform.

Titled “Little Witch Academia: Toki no Mahō to Nana Fushigi” (Little Witch Academia: The Magic of Time and the Seven Wonders), the game will be made by Bandai Namco Entertainment and has been scheduled for release within the year, reports Anime News Network via 4Gamer.

The game will have an original story that has protagonist Akko and friends searching all of Luna Nova to uncover the seven wonders of the school.

The tagline on the game’s website reads: “The story of the witches who aim for the future is not over…” It’s an appropriate tagline considering that the TV anime will soon be coming to an end, with five episodes left to air from its 25-episode run which started January this year.

“Little Witch Academia” follows the story of commoner Atsuko “Akko” Kagari as she attends Luna Nova Magical Academy, a famous school for witches. She’s chasing her dream of becoming a witch like her idol, Shiny Chariot. Alfred Bayle/JB
