Pangilinan’s big announcement: Free, but finite mobile Internet

Philippine Long Distance Corp. (PLDT), the country’s biggest telecommunications company, is offering free mobile internet to its 66 million prepaid subscribers for the next two months, as officials noted that long-term benefits would offset a temporary hit in terms of forgone revenues.

Talk ‘N Text, the value brand of wireless services leader Smart Communications, has partnered with the Yellow Hope Foundation in uplifting the lives of fishing communities in Zamboanga City by providing 15 boats, nicknamed Project Yellow Boat, to ferry to school the children from the Layag-Layag and Lakewood communities in Barangay Talon-Talon.
