How to use the Google Gemini app
Google has been adding artificial intelligence to its products and services, and you may try one of its latest innovations.
The Google Gemini app is similar to ChatGPT, and you can download it now.
Google Gemini’s free version lets you access some features only available on ChatGPT’s paid version, such as chatting with images.

Start by installing the Google Gemini app from the Google Play Store if you’re an Android user. It will ask you to replace Google Assistant with Gemini if your phone has the former.
If you have an iPhone, access Gemini through the Google app. Android users can open the app by tapping its icon, long pressing the power button, or swiping up from the corner of your screen.
You may interact with the app by typing, speaking, or uploading an image. Send text prompts to the chatbot by tapping the chatbox and typing your message with the on-screen keyboard.
Afterward, tap the Send button to confirm your selection. You may also interact with the Google Gemini app with your voice. Tap its Microphone button and say your question or prompt.
Android users may activate the app by saying, “Hey, Google,” and speaking their query. Alternatively, they may press and hold the power button, touch and hold the Home button, or swipe up from the bottom corner of your screen.
Lastly, you may include a photo in your conversation to ask questions. Tap the image picker button to select a saved image. If the Google Gemini app is your default assistant, you may inquire about your current screen.
Let’s say you’re looking at a Facebook post. Say, “Hey, Google,” or tap the Add this screen button. Then, ask your question.
If this feature doesn’t work, turn on the screen context setting. Open the Google Gemini app and then tap your profile picture or initials.
Select Settings and then open Screen Context. Next, toggle on the “use text from screen” and “use screenshot” options.
