Mozark comes to the Philippines to Improve our Connectivity Experience

/ 11:25 AM July 27, 2020

In the COVID-19 era, the internet has become an essential gateway for communications as well as the main source of information, news, and entertainment for many people, while E-commerce has become a lifeline that provides goods and services critical to the literal survival of individuals and businesses. Consequently, connectivity has evolved from being something people want to something that people need.

Today, more people have come to depend on mobile phones, laptops and other “smart” devices that can be connected and controlled via the internet. Being connected has become a part of most people’s daily lives but the importance of dependable connectivity to both individuals and businesses alike is a matter that has not received much attention in South East Asia. MOZARK Pte. is determined to ensure that the concept of reliable connectivity is not taken for granted as it aims to enhance the quality of the Connected Experience for end users in the region.

MOZARK Pte. is a Singapore-based, deep-tech startup that helps service providers, retailers, public sector bodies, real estate, media and financial companies to measure and improve the end-user’s Connected Experience. MOZARK Pte. was founded by Kartik Raja and Fabien Renaudineau, two highly proficient experts in the global telecommunications and technology industries who share the passion for enhancing the Connected Experience and a vision for delivering the right Connected Experience to their end customers. MOZARK Pte. developed a platform that it was able to successfully apply in different global markets and now MOZARK has customers in more than 30 countries across Europe, the Middle East, India and South East Asia.

FEATURED STORIES

MOZARK is unique as it positions itself sweetly among the three primary factors that drive the Connected Experience:  App, Network and Device, as well as relevant insights in data for Mozark partners. Mozark works with telecommunication service providers, building owners and tenants, regulators, application publishers and basically all players of the digital ecosystem and maintains an extensive on-ground field presence. For these reasons,  MOZARK is the only global truly independent end-to-end connected experience platform.

Determined to expand its reach in South East Asia,  Mozark has finally made its way in the Philippines.   When MOZARK Pte. founder Kartik Raja was asked why he chose to establish a satellite office in the Philippines, Kartik says:  “The Philippines is very important for us because it is a very creative market. Filipinos make use of technology in unique ways and I believe that what the Philippines does today, many other South East Asian countries will do later. We see the enormous value of keeping many of our people in the Philippines to build some element of R & D.”

At the helm of Mozark Philippines, Inc. is CEO and President Dion Asencio- a well-known and highly respected personality in the global and domestic technology and telecom industries and has unparalleled knowledge and experience in all aspects of both. When asked who Mozark is targeted for in the Philippines, Asencio said it’s going to be definitely the consumer-based Applications that drive E-commerce and E-trade today. He explains: “The advent of COVID has highlighted the importance of connectivity and of businesses that are driven by E-commerce. We are not targeting a specific industry but we are taking a more holistic point of view and looking at improving important Applications that help businesses grow, allow more mobility in the digital world versus the physical world and enable better transactions by giving the end user a superior connected experience.”

Dion adds MOZARK can be of immense help to SMEs: “MOZARK’s platform lies in the sweet spot for many SMEs, especially those that have Applications at the center of their business. By allowing MOZARK to handle their Applications, these SMEs can focus on running the actual business and be assured that Mozark will handle their applications and solve their connectivity problems to allow their end users to have the best Connected Experience. This arrangement also allows these SMEs to save money instead of spending for the back-end support needed to run their Application.”

Kartik also strongly believes that MOZARK’s platform will be essential for the future of businesses in the Philippines. He explains: “The COVID experience has been an eye opener for all of us and made us realize that working from home is possible so I think the number of people who will be working remotely will increase and given the geographical landscape of the Philippines, connectivity requirements will become key. I also think that in the future there will be more call center businesses, IT businesses and tech businesses coming into the Philippines. What has not happened as much is that the BPO and IT Businesses in the Philippines have not gotten the telco and connectivity analytics businesses yet-  but I think that this is the next step and the Philippines will get into these types of businesses as well and will become a capital of the world in this area”.

Kartik, meanwhile assures that in achieving seamless connectivity, they also regard much importance to data security.  “We do not take personal information from anybody and we work with regulators and companies to create either public or private cloud storage that ensures data stays within the country and is not used for any other purpose other than for what it is intended.”

It is truly encouraging that despite the current state of the economy, foreign based companies like MOZARK have come to the Philippines to invest in its future. It is even more comforting to note that the leaders who run MOZARK are passionately committed to improving the lives of many Filipinos who have been forced to accept inferior and substandard services or products from network service providers, application developers or device manufacturers. Dion, who expressed pride in becoming part of MOZARK says: “In this world, everything is Application centric and everybody is connected. Today’s lifestyle and business environment is centered on Applications. I thought, if this is what’s going to happen in every industry, MOZARK’s vision was just perfectly aligned with it. MOZARK aims to benefit us, the consumers. It has become my passion and objective to get everybody in the Philippines connected and make sure that they get the best connectivity experience”.

With the foresight of MOZARK combined with the values and expertise of its leaders, it’s just a matter of time before the goal of seamless connectivity in the Philippines is finally achieved.
