ABS-CBN resolves website glitch but says some users may still encounter problems
MANILA, Philippines — Media giant ABS-CBN has resolved issues concerning a “technical problem” in its websites, the network said in a statement Thursday afternoon.
ABS-CBN said its websites “may be currently inaccessible to some users today (Sep. 3) due to a technical problem detected early this morning.”
“While we have resolved the issues and restored the sites, some users may still encounter problems but should be able to access them within the next 24 hours,” it said.
Article continues after this advertisement“We are working with our partners in investigating the cause of the incident,” the network added, as it also apologized for whatever inconvenience the glitch might have caused.
Aside from ABS-CBN, internet users have also experienced problems in accessing the news website of GMA Network.
Article continues after this advertisementEarlier in the day, a notice that read “this connection is not private” appeared for users on both websites.
The notice also reads: “This website may be impersonating ‘news.abs-cbn.com’ to steal your personal or financial information. You should go back to the previous page.”
GMA Network has yet to issue a statement on the website glitch as of posting time.
