ABS-CBN, GMA news websites not accessible
MANILA, Philippines — The news websites of media giants ABS-CBN and GMA-7 became inaccessible on Thursday morning.
A notice that reads: “this connection is not private” appears from both websites when attempted to be visited.
The notice also reads: “This website may be impersonating ‘news.abs-cbn.com’ to steal your personal or financial information. You should go back to the previous page.”
Article continues after this advertisementA similar warning appears for GMA News Online, carrying the name of the media outlet in the notice.
The notices still appear as of posting, according to some users, although some have reported being able to access the ABS-CBN News website past 11:00 a.m.

In a tweet, ABS-CBN News Digital executive editor Lynda Jumilla-Abalos said the network is already checking the glitch.
“Users reporting internet services of #PLDT, #Globe, #Converge down in several areas in Metro Manila. You may experience problems accessing our news site, https://news.abs-cbn.com if you’re using these providers. Please be patient; we’re having it checked from our end,” she said.
