FEATURED STORIES

According to recent reports of international market research firms Canalys, IDC, and Counterpoint Research, realme Philippines has already claimed the Number 1 spot in the country’s smartphone market, recording triple-digit growth in Q3 2020.

Global market intelligence firm IDC reported realme Philippines achieved a staggering 962.5 percent annual growth and captured 25.4 percent local market share this third quarter.

realme Philippines’ meteoric rise in the local smartphone market can be credited to a number of factors, all favoring consumers wanting more bang for their buck when it comes to their mobile devices. The brand was the first to introduce smartphones loaded with mid-range features but carry entry-level prices.

Again, the brand drastically changed the market by introducing flagship smartphones with top high-end features, usually found in super-expensive-will-make-you-poor handsets by other brands, but realme Philippines just offers them at half the price and even less.

It introduced a number of smartphones—with big battery capacities, great camera hardware, super pleasant displays, intelligent features—that cater to mobile gamers, photography enthusiasts, content creators, and a whole lot of new generation of consumers.

realme Philippines has so far launched four smartphone lines: the premier X-series, the midranger number series, and the bang-for-buck narzo and C-series lines. The brand is also working vigorously on growing its AIoT and smart device portfolios, broadening the realme experience to deliver a well-rounded ecosystem.

realme X50 Pro 5G

The realme X50 Pro 5G is powered by Snapdragon 865, which is one of the most powerful 5G-enabled chipsets available today. The chip is paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage currently the biggest in all realme smartphones. This 5G smartphone has a quad-camera setup consisting of a 64-megapixel (f/1.8) main camera, a 12-megapixel (f/2.5) telephoto camera, an 8-megapixel (f/2.3) ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor for portraits. Front camera comprises a 32-megapixel camera, plus a secondary 8-megapixel cam for wide-angle selfies and group shots.

Another flagship feature of the realme X50 Pro 5G is realme’s 65W SuperDart Charge technology, which charges the phone to 100% capacity in just 35 minutes.

“We are immensely grateful to our Filipino fans for helping us reach the top spot here in the Philippines. We celebrate this remarkable achievement with every Filipino realme user who shares our confidence in the performance and capability of our products – this would not have been possible without you. We assure our fans that we’ll continue to be relentless in bringing top-notch devices to the country as we aim to embolden them in achieving their every goal. Maraming salamat po!” said realme Philippines VP for Marketing Austine Huang.

Alongside the realme X50 Pro 5G, realme launched new AioT devices perfect for this Christmas Season. It can monitor your sleep statistics and can also provide a real-time heart monitoring for a better understanding of your health. The realme Watch S also features 16 sports monitoring and health functions for those people into fitness.

Aside from the realme Watch S, realme also launched the newest realme Buds Air Pro. Dubbed as the best noise cancelling wireless buds in its price point, the realme Buds Air Pro also boasts transparency mode, which enables users to listen to their surrounding while being able to focus on the music from the earbuds. realme Philippines’ strong market presence is due to its strong and wide and still growing network across the nation, both offline and online. The brand currently has 465 kiosks, 119 concept stores and 5200+ partner stores in key areas across the country. It also has a strong partnership with e-commerce giants Lazada and Shopee, where it consistently tops the list of best-selling brands.

realme has also partnered with key industry player Moonton, the game developer of the smash-hit Mobile Legends. It has also established the biggest smartphone-branded online community, an avenue the brand uses for direct communication with its customers on various announcements, promos, and exclusive events.

In the global scene, realme continues to be the smartphone industry’s fastest-growing smartphone brand, demonstrating a 132 percent growth quarter-on-quarter in shipment volume. This is the strongest growth momentum among all major global smartphone original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), according to Counterpoint Research.

Expect more products from the leading smartphone brand before the year ends as realme Philippines is set to launch more new smart lifestyle devices and a powerful flagship contender.
