Facebook now giving users greater control over News Feed
MANILA, Philippines—Tired of seeing clearly manipulated news videos from your relatives and obscure acquaintances? Well, now you can take control of what you see and who can communicate with you in your News Feed.
On Wednesday, Facebook launched a new tool that allows users to better access their News Feed by allowing them to control who can comment on their public posts.
There is no doubt that the social media app has become a volatile environment in recent years, but users can now filter who can comment on their public posts to just the people and Pages they tag.

“By adjusting your commenting audience, you can further control how you want to invite conversation onto your public posts and limit potentially unwanted interactions. And if you’re a public figure, creator, or brand, you can choose to limit your commenting audience on your public posts to help you feel safe and engage in more meaningful conversations with your community.”
Facebook also introduced Favorites, a tool that enables users to control and prioritize posts from their favorite friends and Pages in their News Feed.

“We know that helping you better manage your experience on Facebook can support wellbeing, so we will continue to invest in ways to give you more control and context,” said Facebook.
