Healthcare professionals turn to TikTok to share helpful health tips and advice

Proving itself to be a helpful learning resource, TikTok has recently become a go-to platform for healthcare professionals, medical practitioners, and scientists to share vital information on health and wellness. Through their content, creators from these fields have been able to help make complicated medical and scientific information more accessible, and easier to understand. The videos also help debunk medical misinformation, better educating users on the app about various health topics. 

Health tips and advice are now being shared by experts using the hashtag #HealthTokPH. The hashtag, which has left a good impact on healthcare practitioners on the app ever since its launch last February, now has over 435.2M views on TikTok. A number of doctors and nurses on the app have even started giving consultations through TikTok’s Q&A feature.
