Phivolcs launches mobile app for volcano alerts

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) launched on Monday a new mobile application that can provide information about the status of volcanoes across the country to the public.

The app, called “VolcanoPH Info,” was created by in-house developers at Phivolcs and can be downloaded for free by Android users on Google Play.
