Did you know that the latest Windows OS has a Game Mode? Gamers used to avoid it because it caused input lag and stutters. Now, it could boost the performance of your favorite titles.

Begin by clicking the Windows Start button at the bottom left corner. Then, click the Settings menu that has a gear icon. Choose the Gaming option on the left menu.

Select Game Mode, switch on the toggle, and turn it blue. Lastly, start playing games. Note that Game Mode might not work for every title.

You may also try upgrading your OS to boost your Windows 11 gaming experience. Open the Start Menu, then go to the Settings option.

Click the Windows Update option at the bottom of the left menu. Next, click the Check for Updates button. Wait until it shows an available update.

Click the Install Now button if a new one appears. Afterward, restart your computer if the update requires it. Also, you could try updating your graphics driver.

Laptops have a graphics card with accompanying driver software. Open that program and click the Update button. Then, restart your PC and open a game to see if it worked.

You may also try turning off Memory Integrity. Press the Windows key, head to the Start Menu, and type “Core Isolation.” Then, click it when it appears and switch off Memory Integrity.

Moreover, you could turn off the Virtual Machine Platform (VMP). Type “Turn Windows features on or off” in the Start Menu. Next, deselect the Virtual Machine Platform option and click the OK button.

Note that your experience may vary depending on your current hardware and chosen game. Still, these features may boost your Windows 11 gaming experience.

Perhaps you need a new graphics card if these methods do not work. Fortunately, Nvidia recently released its newest RTX 4080 graphics cards.

You should also be careful when deactivating features. For example, turning off the VMP could enhance your games, but it may open your PC to more cyberattacks.
