Moreover, more than 40,000 artists have “Thank You” messages for their fans. Together, they bring Spotify users closer to their fans and the platform.

The music app first offered the Wrapped feature to 30 million users in 2017. Last year, that figure grew to more than 120 million.

FEATURED STORIES

Like other apps, Spotify Wrapped summarizes a user’s top songs and artists. However, it stands above the rest because it provides fun, shareable experiences.

In 2021, it included an “Audio Aura” that showed users their top two “moods” based on their listening behavior.

This year, the company will include a feature called Listening Personality. It closely resembles the classic Myer’s Brigg Personality Test.

Like the MBTI, Listening Personality matches your music preferences with four pairs of traits.

First, Familiarity (F) means you listen to your favorite artists repeatedly, while Exploration (E) indicates you try new tunes.

Second, Loyalty (L) means you listen to the same songs and play them on repeat. Alternatively, Variety (V) means you check other music before repeating any.

Third, Timelessness (T) indicates you explore every type of music, while Newness (N) means you prioritize listening to the latest songs.

Fourth, Commonality (C) means you prefer popular artists with millions of fans. Meanwhile, Uniqueness (U) indicates that you choose lesser-known musicians.

Spotify Wrapped 2022 assigns a trait from each pair and combines them into a four-letter code. However, it provides a short description of that code.

For example, let us say you listen to genres outside the mainstream, like math rock. However, you tend to repeat specific tunes from Polyphia.

As a result, your Listening Personality could be FLTU, but The Wrapped feature may describe you as “The Adventurer.”

Spotify also recorded “Thank You” messages from over 40,000 artists for 2022’s Wrapped. Users may view those from at least two of their favorite musicians.

Conclusion

Spotify Wrapped 2022 will also offer users an “Audio Day” daily. It is an interactive story that describes their listening trends from morning through evening.

It is not the only app that offers fantastic new features before the year ends. For example, Twitter will launch multicolored verification icons.
