Windows 12 May Have New AI-Powered Features
Online rumors say Microsoft is trying to create a “modernized” version of its operating system. That is why the upcoming Windows 12 features may include artificial intelligence.
After all, Microsoft has been working closely with OpenAI, implementing ChatGPT into its services. Also, Windows Central says the company codenamed it CorePC.
The tech firm wants the OS to be as secure as Windows 11. Yet, Windows 12 will have more customization options and install on more types of devices.
What are the potential Windows 12 features?
Windows Central recently reported on the latest developments for the next Windows OS. It says Microsoft has been trying to make Windows more modular and customizable.
As mentioned earlier, its codename is “CorePC,” but we will refer to it as Windows 12 for simplicity.
A more modular OS may add or remove specific features to suit various devices. For example, some devices do not support Win32 apps, but desktops PCs do.
A Windows 12 version for non-Win32 devices may remove support for Win32 so that it could operate more efficiently.
It is one of the Windows 12 features that may be useful for businesses and schools. It makes the upcoming operating system more simple to use.
According to Windows Central’s sources, Microsoft is already testing this feature. Moreover, it allegedly makes the upcoming OS “roughly 60-75% smaller than Windows 11 SE.”
However, Gizchina says Windows 12 may require a minimum RAM of 8GB.
The new operating system may divide its components into different partitions. Other operating systems like iOS and Android already have this feature.
Windows 12 may update quicker once it does the same. Users cannot access the system files, making it easier for the operating system to update without interrupting device usage.
