How to set live wallpaper for your devices
What’s the first thing you see when you open your computer and phone? It’s your wallpaper, flashing a photo of a loved one, a scenic view, or a captivating artwork.
Eventually, it can become boring to look at the same images every time, so why not spice things up with a live wallpaper?

How to set live wallpaper on Windows 11
The first step is to download Lively Wallpaper on the Microsoft Store. Type “Microsoft Store’ in your desktop search bar or look for it in the Start menu.
Enter “Lively Wallpaper” in the search bar and select it. Then, click the Download button to install it on your computer for free.
Article continues after this advertisementOpen the app and select an option to set it as your desktop background. Also, you may change their appearance by clicking the three dots of each option and selecting Customize Wallpaper.
Click OK to confirm your changes. Click the X button in the upper right corner will minimize the app to the system tray.
Lively Wallpaper starts with your system by default, so your custom background will always be visible. However, you may change that in the app settings.
You may also choose your videos, GIFs, and online clips as your new live wallpaper with these instructions:
- Open the Lively Wallpaper app.
- Click the (+) icon in the upper menu bar.
- Then, select a file or a URL for your live wallpaper.
- Adjust your wallpaper and then click OK to confirm.
How to set live wallpaper for Mac
MakeUseOf says the Mac has built-in dynamic desktops. You may access them by going to System Settings and opening Wallpaper.
It will reveal a section called Dynamic Desktop. Scroll through the options or click Show All to reveal the entire collection.

You could also turn your desktop into your screensaver. Open System Settings and click Screen Saver. Next, choose an animated screensaver.
Open Terminal using Spotlight search and enter the following command:

Press the keyboard Return key to turn your desktop into your screensaver. This effect will only end once you close your Terminal window.
How to set live wallpaper on iPhone

Take a live photo by opening the Camera app. Then, set it to photo mode and turn on the Live Photos function.
Hold your device still and tap the shutter button to take a live photo. Then, set your live wallpaper with these steps:

- Tap the (+) sign or Add New Wallpaper.
- Next, tap Photos or use the Live Photo filter to select an image.
- Tap the crossed-out Live Photo icon in the bottom-left corner to show a Play symbol.
- Hit Add and confirm how you’ll use the wallpaper by tapping Set as Wallpaper Pair.
How to set live wallpaper on Android
Tech news website XDA says you can turn videos into live Android wallpapers by installing third-party apps like Video to Wallpaper. Here’s how it works:
- Install the app from the Google Play Store and open it.
- Then, tap on the (+) icon in the bottom right corner to add a new video.
- Tap the Choose button to select the wallpaper from your internal storage.
- Next, choose a video.
- Tap OK to confirm your selection.
- The wallpaper will appear on the app home screen. Tap the Apply button.
- Then, tap OK on the pop-up window.
