One of the easiest ways to get clips from X is Twitter Video Downloader:
- Go to twittervideodownloader.com via your PC or Mac’s web browser.
- Then, copy the link of the X message or tweet containing your desired video.
- Paste it on the Twitter Video Downloader site and select your preferred video resolution.
- Afterward, click the Download button to open a new tab containing your selected video.
- Right-click the video or click the three-dot button.
- Next, click the “Save it to your computer” option.
- Wait until your computer finishes downloading.
Your new video should be in your computer’s Download folder. Note that these websites may cease functioning as X updates its social media platform. Moreover, be careful of malware or viruses while using downloader sites.

You can find your new video in the Videos folder. If you use an iPhone, you’re lucky because the built-in Safari web browser lets you download videos from X. Lifehacker recommends the following steps:
- Open the X app and tap your preferred X post’s Share button.
- Then, tap the Copy Link button.
- Paste the link in the Safari app’s address bar.
- Tap the triple-dot icon and then select the Save to Files option.
- Next, name your video and select the Save option.
