Huawei Mate XT now available for pre-order in the Philippines

TAGUIG, PHILIPPINES — Huawei launches pre-orders for its latest flagship model, the Huawei Mate XT, in the Philippines.

It’s the first-ever tri-folding smartphone worldwide, allowing users to unfold it into three screen sizes: 10.2”, 7.9”, and 6.4”.

However, what sets the Huawei Mate XT apart from other foldable phones is the hinge. 

Inquirer Tech tested the device during its February 28, 2025 launch event and found that its hinge is significantly sturdier than others. 

Huawei revealed that its tri-fold device is the first with a hinge that can fold outward and inward, hence its unique camera preview feature. 

Aside from the tri-fold smartphone, the Chinese tech firm showcased its new Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2 tablet.

Its most unique feature is the PaperMatte Display, which minimizes glare for maximum eye comfort. 

Lastly, it revealed the Huawei Band 10 smartwatch, which features pro-level sleep health management and GCash integration.
