MANILA, Philippines  – After the story of Anne Curtis’ drunken stupor at an upscale club in Taguig City went viral, memes featuring her infamous “I can buy you” quote and fictional replies from the likes of Janet Lim-Napoles have circulated online.

The Internet memes show a photo of the actress with the quote “I can buy you, your friends and this club” and a variation of replies attributed to popular personalities.

Among the most popular are those of comedienne Ethel Booba, alleged “pork barrel scam” mastermind Napoles and Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Commissioner Kim Henares.

“Panic buying teh?” was Booba’s imagined reply.

Meanwhile, netizens said Napoles would answer back, “Ang cheap! I can buy you, your friends and the entire country!”

Napoles’ daughter Jeane, herself a subject of memes, was supposed to reply, “Yan lang?! Mommy, pakibili nga si Anne Curtis.”

Even the no-nonsense Henares was dragged into the issue, with netizens imagining her telling Curtis “Ah ganun ba…” or “Taxable yan!”

On Sunday, Curtis admitted that she had “one too many drinks” and made a scene at the Privé Luxury Bar in The Fort, Taguig City last November 23.

She apologized to those she inadvertently hurt, including actor John Lloyd Cruz who was allegedly slapped by the actress.

A friend of Cruz’s said they were at the VIP section of the club when Curtis emerged from the rest room, shouting. She supposedly slapped three people, called Cruz “an addict” and told model-host Phoemela Barranda, “I can buy you, your friends, and this club.”
