Netizens express sympathy for cancer-stricken Santiago

MANILA, Philippines—After Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago disclosed Wednesday that she is suffering from stage-four lung cancer, netizens took to Twitter to express their sympathy for the senator.

#MiriamFight became the top local trending topic on Twitter minutes after she announced her condition. ‘Sen. Miriam Santiago’ also trended in the social networking site.
