Pope Francis tweets in Filipino
MANILA, Philippines—The official Twitter account of Pope Francis has posted two tweets in the Filipino language since he arrived in the Philippines for a five-day visit.
The Pontiff’s first tweet praised the Philippines as a testament to the “youthfulness and vitality of the Church.”

The Pope’s second tweet was a follow-up to his message on the importance of family in society.
“Ang pamilya ay ang pinakamahalagang kayamanan ng isang bansa. Naway pagsikapan nating ipagtanggol at patatagin itong pundasyon ng lipunan,” he posted four hours later.
