MANILA, Philippines – Five hours after Pope Francis left the Philippines for Rome on Monday his official Twitter account posted his sixth tweet in Filipino, this time blessing the devotees in Sri Lanka and the Philippines and asking them to continue praying for him.
The tweet was posted at 3:25 p.m., about more than five hours after he went onboard a Philippine Airlines Airbus (PAL) Flight PR 8010, which also marks the airline’s inaugural direct flight to Rome.

The second and fourth tweets focused on family, calling it “the greatest treasure of any country” and urging the faithful – as members of God’s family – to help the poor and needy, another.
Ang pamilya ay ang pinakamahalagang kayamanan ng isang bansa. Naway pagsikapan nating ipagtanggol at patatagin itong pundasyon ng lipunan.

@Pontifex’s third tweet reminds Christians of God’s compassion amid human suffering. It was posted hours after Pope Francis’ Mass at the Tacloban airport for survivors of Supertyphoon “Yolanda” (international name: Haiyan), the main reason for the five-day papal visit.

The Pope’s last tweet on Philippine soil once more called on Filipinos, as children of God, to remember “what truly matters.”
Madalas nating makalimutang pagtuunan ng pansin ang mga bagay na talagang mahalaga. Nakakalimutan natin na tayo’y Anak ng Diyos.
