Capitol Commons features spectacular 3D Christmas show
Today’s 30- and 40-year-olds look back at Christmases past’s trips to Cubao in Quezon City for COD Department Store’s holiday display. Children and adults alike gaped in awe at the moving figures representing the Yuletide season.
In keeping up with the season, Yuletide displays this year go one level up as Epson introduces its first ever 3D projection mapping Christmas show.
Article continues after this advertisement“An Epson Spectacular Christmas Celebration” is a 3D projection mapping show held at Capitol Commons Park in Ortigas Center, Pasig City, every weekend until the first week of January. The projected images are those of colorful illustrations depicting a joyful Christmastime that will appeal to both kids and adults.
Epson, a Japanese firm that manufactures printers, projectors, and other electronic equipment, has manufacturing plants here in the Philippines and maintains a network of 77 authorized service centers nationwide, with more than 200 dealers and more than 800 shops across the country.
“Image quality has always been of very high importance for us,” said Siew Jin Kiat, general manager, Epson visual instruments division. “We are focusing on providing high brightness and high-color brightness projectors that come with a wide array of installation options. With this new range of large venue projectors, we’ve provided our customers with the highest quality images delivering vivid and sharp colours, bringing a whole new level of experience to viewers.”
Article continues after this advertisementThe bright and vivid colors are made possible by Epson’s high-brightness projectors, which have an equal color and white brightness level of 11,000 lumens. The EB-Z11000 series offer superior image quality and its geometric correction capabilities give users the ability to project on practically anywhere, including curved surfaces or even corner walls.
Epson EB-Z10000U full high-definition projectors has a brightness level of 10,000lm, the highest in its range. Flexible installation options mean that users are no longer restricted to projecting in landscape format, as the EB-Z9000/11000 series can project in portrait mode. Also, Epson increased the projectors seven interchangeable lenses (including one short throw lens) and installation options are greatly increased.
Epson’s spectacular 3D Christmas show at Capitol Commons happens every 30 minutes from 7 p.m. to 12 midnight on weekends until Jan. 3, 2016. RC
