Filipinos celebrate Independence Day with witty #RP612fic tweets

It’s that time of the year again when alternative versions of history filled with wit and humor take over our Twitter feeds.

Filipino netizens relished their freedom by posting witty and funny tweets on Twitter to commemorate the country’s 118th Independence Day on Sunday.


The tweets, which can be found using the hashtag #RP612fic, poked fun on recent events and paid homage to pop culture while looking back at Philippine history.
