Pagasa launches mobile app for Android

The state weather bureau on Monday launched its weather forecasting application for Android phones.

A light version of the website contains vital weather information and flood warnings, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in a statement.

The project is one of the components of the technical cooperation between Pagasa and the Japan International Cooperation Agency – Project.

Simplified information materials created by Pagasa and the USAID’s Be Sure project were also launched.

FEATURED STORIES

The brochure-type materials give information about La Niña, El Niño, rainfall warning system and the updated tropical cyclone warning system.

Poster-type materials will also be released soon, Pagasa said. RAM/rga
