Apple seems to be really committed to shaking things up both internally and externally as it announced that it is breaking the 2-year upgrade cycle to make the next iPhone really better.

A report on The Next Web said iPhones coming out this year will have the same features as the current models, as well as the same 4.7- and 5.5-inch sizes. The big difference, however, will be the rumored removal of the headphone jack. While this may be alarming, it’s not that out of place considering Apple’s history of doing away with aging formats. Its role will be taken over by a lightning port.

The new iPhones will reportedly come with Lightning-to-3.5mm connectors to make the transition a little easier to handle.

Apple said it would make a better phone for 2017 and that the dullness of 2016 would turn to excitement next year. Alfred Bayle
