Google to make VR available in Chrome

Virtual reality, or VR, is taking the tech world by storm and Google is not one to be left behind by the competition. The company plans to make web browsing more immersive in VR.
At the Google I/O 2016, Engadget reports that the company will be including features in their Chrome Beta and Chrome Dev that allow for a smoother VR web hopping experience. This will make even sites not made for VR to be more engaging.
Currently, the VR experience is only applicable to sites that are built around the technology. But with Google’s solution in development, Android users will be able to browse through non-VR-ready sites without putting down their phones and disengaging VR.
Smartphone manufacturer Samsung has already created a browser for its Gear VR. Unfortunately, it only works with its devices. Google’s solution will allow owners of all Android devices such as those equipped with Cardboard to enjoy a similar experience. Alfred Bayle
