Pokémon Go memes, funny tweets flood social media
Pokémon Go, the much-awaited reality mobile game pioneered by Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, and developer Niantic Labs, was slyly released on Wednesday for both iOS and Android in selected countries, and to Filipinos’ dismay, the game is not “officially” launched in their country, as of now. Pokémon Go is an addictive, time-killing game that uses a smartphone camera, GPS, and its sensors to place a Pokémon character in reality and allow the user to snatch them.
As the game launched in countries like Australia, New Zealand and Japan, many enthralled and giddy gamers attempt to “catch ’em all” and race to designated PokéStops on the streets.

Not all Pokémon Go users around the world had a “pleasant user experience.” Some servers and links were down on Apple’s App Store and Google Play, but gamers from the Land Down Under are having a jolly time with their pokémon hunt.
For those playing overseas: Australia doesn't have a government right now but no one cares because the country is distracted by Pokemon Go

Among all Pokémon memes whirling around the social media blizzard, Filipino netizens are always given a standing ovation with their genuine brand of humor:
Well, many players find Pokémon creatures in odd places, such as Magikarp the fish.
