Facebook launches ‘Birthday Videos’

Facebook has new launched a gift for its users celebrating their birthdays—the new Facebook Birthday Videos.

Facebook on Friday said the videos will be customized for each user, as it will contain stitched messages and photos that one received from friends on his birthday.

The social networking giant said the video will appear as a Facebook greeting in a user’s News Feed a day after his birthday.

“The 45-second video features a magical birthday cake that lights up and comes to life, opening to reveal the top birthday posts and photos from your friends,” Facebook said in a statement.

“You can choose to share the video on your timeline to thank your friends and share it with others, or just enjoy it yourself. You can also easily edit the photos and posts in the video before sharing it. We hope these videos are a delightful gift from all of us at Facebook and add a little more fun to an already awesome day,” it added.
