For those who are familiar with YouTube series “Cooking With Dog,” it is a sad moment as the show’s beloved four-legged star has passed away.

Francis, the pooch co-host of the long-running series that started in 2009, passed away at 14 years and 9 months old, just short of his 15th birthday. The news was initially shared through the show’s official Twitter account, reports Eater.

The news quickly spread across social media, no doubt thanks to the 1.25 million subscribers that the show had under its belt. YouTubers noted that Francis had been showing his age in recent shows. He was seen snoozing away when he was previously very attentive at the chef’s side.
