Brazilian soccer team survivor posts on Instagram before plane crash

Brazilian football player Alan Ruschel posted on Instagram from inside the plane that crashed in the mountains of Colombia, killing 71 people on board.

A defender on the Chapecoense football team, Ruschel had Instagram stories with his teammates shortly before the tragic incident, as they headed to Colombia for the Copa Sudamericana on Wednesday.

The football player reportedly suffered head injuries because of the deadly crash, but was said to have survived.

The chartered flight, with 77 football players and journalists on board, was en route to Medelline, Colombia from Santa Cruz, Bolivia, when it crashed near Rionegro in Colombia. Only six survived from the plane crash. FM/CDG
