LG makes early announcement of new audio devices
With one more week to go before the global electronics show CES 2017, some companies are taking the initiative to get ahead of the competition. One of them is LG, as the company recently announced two of its newest audio products.
The LG Tone Studio is a neckband that produces surround sound targeted at the wearer’s ears. The company also announced the LG Tone Free, a set of wireless neckbuds that store and charge earbuds, reports The Verge.
Article continues after this advertisementLG Tone Studio features a vibrate function, that when coupled with its four speakers, creates a “theater-like sound for a cinematic experience wherever you may be.” One obvious issue for this device, however, is privacy. It would make quite a racket on public transportation, hence its portable nature would be rendered moot if it can’t be used during commutes.
The LG Tone Free on the other hand is more standard. It has a set of wireless earbuds that can be stored and charged on the neck unit. The neck unit also vibrates for notifications.
No price has been revealed yet. It can be expected that LG will unveil full details during CES 2017. Alfred Bayle
