More solid information has been released on the upcoming LG G6, and it’s not what consumers have expected from the rumors.

TechRadar reports that LG Display stated how its latest LG smartphone will have a 5.7-inch QHD+ LCD with an 18:9 aspect ratio. This new display is said to offer greater immersion than its predecessors while making multitasking even more viable.

The resolution for the screen will be set at 1440 x 2880 with a pixel density of 564 pixels per inch. It will also have LG’s own in-TOUCH technology where the touch sensor is embedded inside the LCD cell for greater touch performance.

Inversely proportional to the larger screen, LG is cutting down on the bezel of the G6. This leaves the bezels at 0.2mm on the sides while the bottom is at 0.54mm for a higher screen-to-body-ratio.

LG also claims that the QHD+ display is 30 percent more power efficient and is easier to view under sunlight.

Details on the eventual release of the LG G6 has not yet been disclosed. However, LG teased that it is coming out “in the very near future.” Alfred Bayle
