As part of a promotional campaign for the 2017 remaster of the game “PaRappa the Rapper”, Sony has taken the extra effort to craft a gigantic and functional PS4 controller.

According to the Japanese news blog Gigazine, the D-pad along with the triangle, circle, square and cross buttons work. The L1 and R1 shoulder buttons were also functional. The only ones that do not work are the L2 and R2 triggers, as well as the analog sticks which are mere displays. It is safe to assume that the touchpad will also not work.

Unfortunately, it will not make users instantly great at playing “PaRappa the Rapper”. Gigazine notes that it actually makes playing the game more challenging when it come to pressing the buttons in rhythm.

“PaRappa the Rapper” is a rhythm game published by Sony and initially released back in 1996. It stars the character PaRappa. Players help him make his way through six game stages by rapping. Alfred Bayle/JB
