Ragnarok Online (RO) was a true icon in the Philippine Gaming market. It introduced Filipinos to Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Games and heralded the rise of gaming in the country.

Now, this icon of gaming is returning to the scene and what better way to do so than through a grand party to celebrate its comeback. That’s what Ragnarok Festival 2017 or RagnaFest is all about.

For a game that’s more than a decade old, RO still carried a lot of appeal, especially those who played during its heyday. This is easily proven by the number of attendees in the event. The venue was packed with RO fans, storming all activity booths.

Despite the heat and sweat, attendees had fun from the pizza eating contest, cosplay catwalk, as well as from listening to the bands Imago and Sandwich that provided entertainment for the afternoon.

At one point, executives from Gravity, ELITE and Electronics Extreme gave their speeches and officially announced to all the return of an old friend from the early days of Philippine gaming. RO was back and rearing to get into the action once more. JB
