Pre-empting the floor shows at Computex 2017, the annual computer expo in Taiwan, Acer has unveiled two of their latest 10-inch tablets earlier than expected.
The first of the two products, the Iconia Tab 10, boasts a unique quantum dot display for better color accuracy and color depth, Engadget reported.
The slick feature allows the device to better display movies, games and other multimedia content, Engadget reported. In addition, it also has four speakers and a built-in subwoofer.
The second tablet, on the other hand, is the slightly lower end Iconia One 10, which uses a wide-angle in-plane switching (IPS) display. It also comes with two micro USB ports to allow users to charge and be connected to an external device.
Moreover, both 10-inch tablets run Android 7.0 Nougat OS (operating system) with a few Acer tweaks added on. For one, owners will be able to use gestures to wake-up the device or run specific apps through the EZ WakeUp and EZ Mode features.
Acer has yet to release information on pricing and availability, as of this writing.
So far, the Iconia Tab 10 is the first tablet to use quantum dot display technology. This is perhaps the reason why Acer wants to introduce their device ahead of the competition. Alfred Bayle/KI
