WATCH: Blizzard Entertainment confirms release of ‘Starcraft: Remastered’ next month

/ 06:52 PM July 04, 2017

Christmas has come early for PC gamers, as the highly anticipated “Starcraft: Remastered” will come out this August.

Initially projected to be released at the latter part of the year, a 4K resolution version  of the hit sci-fi strategic game was teased by Blizzard Entertainment through an online ad titled “We Are Under Attack!”

Judging by the brief trailer, all the elements of what made the game iconic in the first place is back—in better resolution, of course.

Those who feel nostalgic and wish to revert back to the old graphics would be able to do so as well through the in-game options, according to the Blizzard website.

“StarCraft: Remastered” will be made available for both Windows and Mac users starting Aug. 14 for  $14.99 (around P750).

Blizzard, meanwhile, released the original “Starcraft: Brood War” expansion completely free of charge last April.  Khristian Ibarrola /ra
