After countless pleads online to retain its iconic drawing application, it seems that Microsoft is heading the netizens’ call.
Concerns regarding the discontinuation of the classic Microsoft Paint app has whipped up a frenzy online recently, but the company has delivered some good news.
According to a Microsoft blog post, the MS Paint stays and is simply being relocated to the Windows Store as a free to download app.
“MS Paint is here to stay, it will just have a new home soon, in the Windows Store where it will be available for free,” Microsoft confirmed.

Microsoft also revealed that the amount of fan and user support they received for the restoration of the 32-year-old program was a pleasant surprise for the company.
The public outcry prompted them to clarify their intentions for the upcoming Windows 10 Summer Creators Update.
Meanwhile, MS Paint’s “spiritual successor,” the Paint 3D app, will be included in the upcoming update and will continue to receive new features over time.
It was also emphasized that many of MS Paint’s classic features such as the line and curve tools will be incorporated into Paint 3D. KI
