WATCH: Pinoy comedian’s ‘Despacito’ parody racks up 4M views

Ever since Luis Fonsi’s “Despacito” dominated both the airwaves and the internet—becoming the world’s most streamed video of all time—several comical parodies have been shared on YouTube.

With the pop song’s popularity at an all-time high, Filipino-Canadian comedian Mikey Bustos came up with his own hilarious version earlier this month, titled “I Wear Speedos”.

Just two weeks since its initial posting on the video sharing site, the clip has already garnered over four million views.

Armed with his melodic voice and trademark “Pinoy” accent, the 36-year-old singer and YouTube personality proclaimed his love for the teeny-tiny swim wear.

As seen in the 4-minute viral clip, Bustos donned several colorful trunks, while proudly strutting his stuff on the beach—much to the dismay of the male vacationers. He even described the Speedos as an effective “chick magnet.”

Bustos, meanwhile, gained his following after videos of himself singing and promoting Filipino culture became viral hits. He has also been a finalist in Canadian Idol’s first season, earning a seventh runner-up placing in 2003. JB
