An 88-year-old Taiwanese grandma is taking social media by storm with her sharp street fashion sense.
Going by the online name “Moon Lin”, the elderly woman has proven herself quite a fashionista when it comes to street clothes.
From street jerseys and sunglasses, to Supreme tees and ripped jeans, Moon Lin has legit street creds. Instagram and Facebook users have taken notice, because not only is this granny a fashionista, she’s also social media savvy.
Moon Lin has taken up the habit of regularly updating her social media accounts, much like any other Millennial on the internet. Apart from photos of herself wearing hip fashion, Moon Lin also updates her Facebook account with snippets of her personal life.
In one post, she uploaded the photo of a pocket watch which belonged to her lover. The watch appeared to be frozen at 7:15, which Moon Lin said was the time her lover passed away.
“7:15, that’s the time my lover left. This was my man’s watch, and it happened to stop on the day he went to heaven,” wrote Moon Lin. “For a period of time I was afraid to look at this watch. But after that I dreamt of him, he said I had to live on and live a happy life.”
Moon Lin is also fond of taking pictures of food before partaking her meal.
Apparently she has a thing for martial arts icon Bruce Lee. In a short clip, she exclaims “Li Xiaolong” while wearing a shirt with a picture of Bruce Lee in his trademark yellow jump suit from “Game of Death”. Li Xiaolong was Lee’s Chinese screen name.
For this senior citizen, growing old is just a part of life and it even comes with perks. She said in one post, “The good thing about being 88 is, you can just wear what you want! No one can control me! I want to try something new each day. Should I get a tattoo tomorrow? Life begins at 88.” JB
