After releasing mini-versions of the classic Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), fans have wondered if Nintendo would also revive the iconic “Gameboy.”

Speculations sparked again after the video game company filed a new trademark for the handheld device in Japan, Kotaku reports.
