Retired adult star angers netizens for posting picture as Virgin Mary

When a news outlet mistakes Malala for Mia Khalifa

Ex-pornographic star Mia Khalifa has ruffled netizens’ feathers after photoshopping an image of herself as the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The now social media personality shared a seemingly blasphemous photoshopped image of her face on the body of one of Catholicism’s most revered figures.

“When a news outlet mistakes Malala for Mia Khalifa,” the 24-year-old Lebanese-American captioned the image, which was uploaded on both her verified Twitter and Instagram accounts.

As expected, furious netizens flooded the posts’ comment sections and demanded that she take down the photo.

“Not gonna lie I’m not easily offended but this struck a nerve even if it was a joke I didn’t find it funny,” one user wrote.

Another tweeted: “Very inappropriate! Let Mother of God forgive you.”

Khalifa, meanwhile, has yet to take down the photo and hasn’t addressed the accusations, as of this writing. She currently hosts the sports show “Out of Bounds” alongside former NBA star Gilbert Arenas. /ra
